I’m Brit. I tested positive for Lyme Disease in September 2014 after a mystery flu-like illness that would not go away. Like more than 50% of Lyme patients, I do not recall ever being bit by a tick or seeing a bullseye rash. I thought and hoped that after 3 weeks of antibiotics, I would be healthy and resume my normal life. However, I was not so fortunate.

Since my diagnosis, my life has changed dramatically, and I have learned a lot. Life continues to change, and I continue to learn.

I created this space to have an outlet to talk about about my experience with Lyme, and to spread awareness about this disease. I write to share my story with my friends and family, with those who are also suffering, and with those who love someone who is suffering with Lyme Disease or any chronic illness.

Thanks for reading!
